Emadine Eye Drops antihistamine that reduces the effects of the natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Emadine Eye Drops treat itchy or watery eyes caused by allergies.

Use Emadine Eye Drops exactly directed by your doctor. Usually, use Emadine Eye Drops four times a day or as directed by your doctor.

To apply eye drops, wash your hands first. Please do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface to avoid contamination.

Tilt your head back, look upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Hold the dropper directly over your eye and place one drop into the eye, look downward and gently close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at the corner of your eye and apply gentle pressure. It will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink, and do not rub your eye. Repeat these steps for your other eye if so directed.

Do not rinse the dropper. Replace the dropper cap after each use.

Before using Emadine Eye Drops, tell your doctor and pharmacist:

• If you are allergic to Emadine Eye Drops or any other medications,
• You are taking other prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products. 
• If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
• If you wear contact lenses, you should not wear contact lenses if your eyes are red or irritated, and you should not use Emadine Eye Drops to treat irritation that you think may be caused by contact lenses. You should also not instill epinastine eye drops while wearing contact lenses. Remove your contact lenses before you instill Emadine Eye Drops; wait to replace them for at least 10 minutes afterward.
