What is brimonidine tartrate ophthalmic solution used for?

This eye drop solution is used for reducing the amount of fluid in the eye. As a result, the pressure inside the eye can be relieved.

What is brimonidine tartrate?

Brimonidine tartrate is the tartrate salt form of brimonidine, which is an alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist. It acts to constrict blood vessels within the eyes, decreasing the production of eye fluid and improving the eye’s ability to expel fluids.
